Easy Guitar Tabs: Michael Jackson

E-book

Magic Chords - Learn to play the guitar in 50 days

Guitar Book: detailed description

A talented and very popular singer is the following participant on the Easy Guitar Tabs blog. I’m talking about Michael Jackson. You have four of his best songs here with lyrics and the guitar chords. Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29, 1958, and entertained audiences nearly his entire life. His father Joe Jackson had been a guitarist, but he gave up his musical ambitions. By the early 1960s, the older boys Jackie, Tito and Jermaine had begun performing around the city. By 1964, Michael and Marlon had joined in and together they formed the Jackson 5. Michael's singing and dancing talents were amazing, and he soon became the dominant voice and focus of the troop.
At the age of 13, Jackson launched a solo career in addition to his work with the Jackson 5. He made the charts in 1971 with "Got to Be There" from the album of the same name. Solo success for Michael Jackson was inevitable, and by the 1980s, he had become infinitely more popular than his brotherly group. Michael Jackson is often referred to as The King of Pop, he is the biggest-selling solo artist of all time, with over 750,000,000 sales. Jackson is an inductee of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and double inductee to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. His awards include 8 Guinness World Records, 13 Grammy Awards, and 26 Billboard Awards.

I took my baby on a Saturday bang
Boy is that girl with you
Yes we're one and the same
        G
Now I believe in miracles
                                                D           G D G
And a miracle has happened tonight
D                   A
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
             G                                    D          G D G
It don't matter if you're black or white
D  G  D...
They print my message in the Saturday Sun
I had to tell them I ain't second to none
And I told about equality and it's true
Either you're wrong or you're right
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
D
I am tired of this devil, I am tired of this stuff
                                                            G              D
I am tired of this business, so when the going gets rough
D
I ain't scared of your brother, I ain'ts scared of no sheets
                                                           G             D
I ain't scared of nobody, girl when the goin' gets mean
D
Protection for gangs, clubs, and nations,
Causing grief in human relations.
It's a turf war on a global scale,
I'd rather hear both sides of the tale.
See, it's not about races, just places, faces.
Where your blood comes from is where your space is.
I've seen the bright get duller,
I'm not going to spend my life being a color.
D  G  D...
Don't tell me you agree with me
When I saw you kicking dirt in my eye
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I said if you're thinkin' of being my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I said if you're thinkin' of being my brother
It don't matter if you're black or white
Ooh, ooh, yea, yea, yea now, ooh, ooh
Yea, yea, yea now
It's black, it's white
It's tough for them to get by
It's black, it's white, whoo

Em          D               Em                           D
She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
Em              D                         Em          D           Am
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
                                                      Em
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one who will dance on the floor in the round
Em  D  Em  D...
She told me her name was Billie Jean, and she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
C                                      Em
People always told me be careful of what you do
                C                                               Em
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
        C                                      Em
And mother always told me be careful of who you love
              C                                              B7
And be careful of what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth
Em      D         Em        D
Billie Jean is not my lover
Em               D             Em            D             C
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
             Am                 Em
But the kid is not my son
Em          D             C                 Am                 Em
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
Em  D  Em  D...
For forty days and forty nights, the law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand, her schemes and plans
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice,
Just remember to always think twice
(Don't think twice)x2
Em  D  Em  D...
She told my baby we'd danced 'till three
Then she looked at me
Then showed a photo, my baby cried
His eyes looked like mine
Go on dance on the floor in the round, baby
C  Em  C  Em
People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
She came and stood right by me
Then the smell of sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room
Em  D  Em  D...
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid not my son
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
